Once 19th century manufacturing processes allowed lithography onto flat sheets of tin, it was only a question of time before children were confronted with one simple decision: which pail should I choose? This book features 300 tin sand pails, each of a different design, along with corollary sand shovels, sifters, molds, toys, and related sand pail ephemera produced during the 70-year span.
