An intensely earthy and expressive nose is complemented by a mix of now fully secondary aromas of smoke, game and underbrush along with a slightly funky hint of barnyard. The rich, punchy and velvety medium full-bodied flavors display only a moderate amount of '95 style tannins on the otherwise delicious, complex and lingering if decidedly rustic finish that is beginning to lean out. This old school effort is running out of fruit faster than the structure is resolving so I would suggest drinking up. With that said, this is in no danger of falling apart but I foresee the balance becoming more fragile. 89/now
