A Victorian solitaire diamond engagement ring. Centring around a 0.61 carat diamond of clarity VS2 and colour J. The round brilliant-cut diamond is securely claw set at the centre of this antiquated ring. The 18ct yellow gold band is wider than the usual solitaire style band and is carved with interesting scrolled and ornate motifs making this a very unusual ring. The inside of the band is engraved with the date '1882' dating this ring back to the Victorian era. This engagement ring is a true rarity, tested 18ct yellow gold, circa 1880.
