Heat treated CrMo lever with black coating. Perfect spacing on the Hydrobrake, Shift Lever, Steering Wheel & Parking Brake for cars with the stock W55 manual transmission requires this straight shift lever.
NOT required for R154 trans because that lever is bent back not left as seen in the original equipment 5spd lever.
CD009 collins swaps are no problem. Short shifters are OK for clearance but they’re a much more expensive fix, plus I love a good feedback and muscle memory that comes from a long throw, up shift to third when the hands are very busy with counter-steer and Hydrobrake while eyes are two turns ahead.
Additionally the hand brake action should match the shifter throw for balanced reach & clearance on all things in the cockpit.
