Core CQB Pass – Class Overview

Duration: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( 3 days, 2 Nights)
Skill Level: Intermediate
Prerequisite: Completion of KDS LEVEL 1 is required. No exceptions.

Sunday end Time: 5pm

Course Intent

This course is designed to evaluate and enhance student proficiency in CQB fundamentals through progressive live-fire and dry-run exercises. Students will operate in teams and as individuals, focusing on structure clearing, white light and NODS integration, breaching, and movement through confined spaces such as hallways and stairwells.

Safety Protocol

• Strict live-fire safety enforcement

• Any student deemed unsafe in their handling, decision-making, or control:

  • Will be immediately restricted to SIM/UTM rounds during live house runs

  • Instructor discretion applies for return to live-fire status

Learning Objectives

• Conduct 2- and 4-man clears under pressure

• Perform 1-man live structure clears during both day and night evolutions

• Apply white light and NODS effectively in dry-run, low-light scenarios

• Navigate hallways and stairwells deliberately and dynamically

• Execute mechanical and ballistic breaching procedures

• Maintain muzzle awareness, team communication, and threat discrimination throughout

Course Outline

Friday Night – Structure Work & White Light (Dry Only)

Evening Arrival

• Safety/medical brief

• Gear inspection and team breakdown

• Comms check and instructor orientation

Dry Runs Inside the House

• CQB terminology and movement overview

• Corner-fed vs center-fed room entries

• 2-man / 4-man dry entry reps

• White light theory, control, and use under stress

• Light/no-light movement communication

Note: No live fire Friday night

Saturday – Flat Range, Breaching, and 1-Man Live

Morning – Flat Range Assessment

• Individual skills check:

  • Movement with firearm

  • Transitions and target engagement

  • Threshold shooting and communication

Midday – CQB Development

• Dynamic and deliberate clears (live fire)

• Angle control, flow, sector overlap

• Communication under compressed timelines

Afternoon – Breaching

• Ballistic Breaching:

  • Shot placement, setup, safety

• Mechanical Breaching:

  • Tool work with ram, Sledge Hammer, Halligan

  • Sequencing and post-breach entry drills

1-Man Live Fire (Day)

• Solo clears through structure under instructor observation

• Focus on angles, flow, and threat ID

• Feedback and AAR immediately post-run

Saturday Night – NODS & Dry Runs and Live Night.

Night Vision Dry Work

• NODS gear setup and verification

• IR discipline and movement safety

• 2-man / 4-man structure clears (dry only)

• Hallway/stairwell reps under NODS

• Focus on silent comms, tempo, and light management

• 1-Man Live Fire (Night)

• • Instructor-controlled solo clears under NODS or white light

  • One-on-one debrief and performance feedback

Sunday – Structure Integration 

Morning – Advanced Structure Navigation

• Hallways: long, T-intersections, L - intersections.

• Stairwell tactics (top-down and bottom-up)

Midday – Full-Speed Dynamic Work

• Multi-room and hall integration drills

• Speed vs control judgment calls

• Dynamic flow clears with structure complexity

Course Wrap-Up

• Final gear accountability

• Safety check-out

• Student/instructor debriefs

• Certificates or documentation of completion (if issued upon request)

Essential Gear

• Eye and Ear Protection: Ensure proper protection for eyes and ears during training activities.

• Full Kit with Pouches: Includes tactical gear with pouches for storing equipment and magazines.

• Pants: Suitable tactical or durable pants for comfort and mobility.

• Shirts: Short or long sleeve combat tops or similar for varying weather conditions.

• Magazines: Minimum of 4 magazines each for pistol and rifle.

• Helmet: Headgear for protection and comfort during training.

• Eye Protection (Eye Pro): Protective eyewear and hearing for safety.

• Gloves: Tactical or durable gloves for handling firearms and equipment.

• Belt with Holster and Pouches: Belt setup with holster for pistol and additional pouches for magazines and gear.

• Weapons Maintenance Gear: Tools and supplies for maintaining firearms during training.

• IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) with Med Gear: Essential first aid kit with medical supplies for emergencies.

• Note-Taking Gear: Pen, notebook, or other tools for taking notes during training.

• Closed-Toe Shoes: Sturdy, closed-toe footwear suitable for outdoor and tactical environments.

• Night Vision: Night vision devices for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions.

• PID Lights: Portable identification lights for signaling or tactical use.

• 200 FRANGIBLE rounds only: if you do not have this type of ammo you are not allowed to partake in the live fire portion. IF you need ammo, we can provide at cost.
• 300 rounds of Normal ammunition: for flat range portion, we will be confirming your zero and working on drills to help you inside the house when it comes for the live fire portion of the class.

Enrollment Terms and Conditions

• Minimum Enrollment Requirement: Please note that this course requires a minimum of 8 students to proceed as scheduled, due to the curriculum's reliance on two fireteams for effective training. In the event that we do not reach this minimum, the class may be canceled. If your purchased course is canceled, you will receive a full refund.

• Enrollment Requirements

  To enroll in our courses, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship Requirement: Participants must be United States citizens.
  • Legal Status: No felons, individuals pending legal trials, or individuals with active restraining orders are allowed to enroll in our courses.

• Background and Due Diligence: We conduct background checks and due diligence to ensure the safety and integrity of our programs.

• We have the rights to deny training to individuals

Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for bringing their own food and water to the course. While we will have water available on site, please ensure you have adequate provisions to stay nourished and hydrated throughout the training.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is structured as follows, based on the timing of cancellation:

• Full Refund: A full refund will be issued if the cancellation request is received more than 14 days before the start of the course.

• Partial Refund: A partial refund of 50% of the course fee will be issued if the cancellation request is received between 7 to 14 days before the start of the course.

• No Refund: No refund will be issued if the cancellation request is received less than 7 days before the start of the course or if the participant does not show up for the course.

• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
• All refund requests must be made in writing via email to our enrollment team.
• Refunds may take up to 14 days to process.
• In cases where the course is canceled by us due to unforeseen circumstances or failure to meet the minimum enrollment requirement, a full refund will be issued automatically.

Training Eligibility Requirement

Keystone Dynamics Solutions reserves the right to refuse training to individuals based on specific eligibility criteria. Our training courses are exclusively available to United States citizens. We do not provide training to non-U.S. citizens, individuals with felony convictions, or those with similar disqualifying statuses.
