Sustainably Source

• Each Top is built from locally sourced lumber boards native throughout the Midwest making our furniture a sustainable option for your home.

Handmade

• Made in Webster City, Iowa, each top is carefully crafted by our team with hand selected boards consisting of similar wood color and grain to meet your specific dimensions. No two boards are the same, and this natural variation gives each custom piece its own unique appearance.

  • Final Table Top Thickness will range from 1 1/2"-1 3/4".
  • Pictures show examples of the custom table top product, and are not the exact top you will receive. You can request to see the selected boards prior to the start of the table build for a $75 additional charge, which covers minor adjustments. Any major adjustments are up to discretion of the shop.

Finish Level

• Unfinished/DIY - Ready to ship in 1-2 weeks, your top arrives built to your specific dimensions, flattened on both sides and ready for the finishing steps! From there, fill any large voids/cracks with the filler of your choice, and begin sanding!

• Fully Finished - Have your top ready for installation! Ready to ship in 2-3 weeks, all finished tops will be flattened on both sides, finished sanded to 220 grit on the top side, all large voids/cracks filled with epoxy, and sealed with our Satin Lacquer or Rubio Monocoat Oil finishes! (If a finish is not requested, our craftsmen will select one based on characteristics of the wood used to craft the tables(s))
  • When Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is selected as the finish, the bottom/back side of the piece will be sealed with Satin Lacquer and the Top/Sides will have Rubio applied. Rubio can be applied to both sides upon request at an additional cost.

Edge Type

• Sculpted Live Edge - manufactured by our craftsmen based on actual live edge templates. Sculpted Live Edge Tops can have a width variation of 1-2" on each side. (Sculpted Live Edge tops with both sides sculpted can have a width variance of 2-4" below your selected width)

• Straight Cut Edges - Sleek, modern look! All straight cut edges will have a slightly eased/rounded edge with sandpaper to avoid sharp edges.

Sanding Finish

• Smooth Sanded - Traditional finish providing a 100% smooth top. Sanding Starts at 80 grit paper all the way to 220 grit to provide an even, perfect finish.

• Rustic Grinder Finish - Add a textured rustic look to your top, while keeping the surface of the table smooth enough to remain flat, not risking catching splinters, or major dips in the wood.

Thickness Options -

• 1 1/2" Thick Tops - The typical thickness for custom builds. Built to your dimensions out of 2" stock wood. When built and flattened the overall thickness of each table top will range from 1 1/2" - 1 3/4".

• 3" Thickened Edges - The thickened edge option will give you the look of 3" thickness. We build our 1 1/2" thick table tops a little longer, and a little wider than your final dimensions. Then fold over the perimeter of the table to give you the appearance of a thicker top. This method allows the grain to be bookmatched and mirrored on the ends and sides of the table top for a more consistent look. Final Table Top Thickness will range from 3" - 3 1/2".
