This piece is a hand pulled screen print. It originally started as a relief print taken directly from the wood. That original was used to create a silkscreen, which allows for more creativity with shapes and colors.

Pine trees are evergreen conifers with over 100 different species. The southern pine tree can live over 300 years and grows almost perfectly straight. In the Southern United States, yellow pine refers to longleaf, shortleaf, slash, or loblolly pine.
