A handful of premium Seiryu Stones were placed strategically to create a simple, yet impactful Iwagumi hardscape layout. To further accent the overall aquascape layout, smaller pieces along with crushed bits of Seiryu Stone were added to the foreground to produce a more natural, aged appearance. This aquascape layout can be brought to life using either fine natural sand or quality aquarium soil such as Ultum Nature Systems Controsoil. With fine natural sand, we would recommend using the greening technique and adorning the rocks with aquatic moss species such as Mini Christmas Moss or, for a low tech setup, Marimo Moss Balls to produce a serene and minimal environment. This type of layout would pair well with brightly colored aquatic inhabitants such as Ember Tetras or freshwater shrimp species. If aquarium soil is chosen, we would recommend a classic foreground such as Micranthemum Monte Carlo or Glossostigma Elatinoides paired with aquatic plants such as Lilaeopsis species in the mid-ground and Eleocharis Parvulus as the background aquatic plant choice.
