Rethinking classic form. The VIVO series is a contemporary update of the original shape of a shaving brush. The handles display the archetypal, bulbous curvature. The inversely curved base of high-gloss chrome evokes memories of traditional shaving culture while guaranteeing a secure fit in the specially developed holder with plastic insert. MÜHLE manufactures this newly interpreted classic from high-grade resin and plum wood.

The Material:

• High-Grade Resin
  High-grade resin is a high-quality synthetic material, the surface of which is processed and refined separately. The material is ideal for exclusive accessories and writing implements because it facilitates a broad spectrum of modern and classical designs in many attractive colours.
  
  To begin with, the aesthetic basic shapes for brush and razor handles are turned out of solid rods. Then each individual work piece is polished in several passes to give the surface its special gleam. This processing method lends the models a pleasant feel and secures their beauty for many years to come.
  
  
• Plum wood
  Designers, turners and carvers have long since discovered the wood of the plum tree. They use the material for writing utensils, furniture and musical instruments. We have included it in our collection because of its intriguing colouring and vivid grain.
  
  Another sustainable advantage is that it is an indigenous wood which is both hard and robust. To protect the wood against water, the surfaces are sealed once again with oil. The resulting soft gleam is a deliberate and highly attractive side effect.

The Brush head:

• Black Fibre
  Innovative into the future: with its dark colouring, softness and quality, this synthetic fibre is the sustainable answer to the questions of our time. Black Fibre resembles natural badger hair, but is more robust and durable, and at the same time slightly softer at the tip than the natural material. The MÜHLE manufactory’s very own innovation makes it possible to whip up a particularly creamy shaving lather. The amount of effort required for cleaning and drying is significantly lower.

• Pure Badger
  Wet shave and facial massage in one? This is possible thanks to pure badger hair. This shaving brush is the portal to the world of shaving culture from the Erz Mountains. The natural material with its darker colour from brownish grey to black is a reflection of its extremely robust quality. The hair is stronger than silvertip and fine badger, yet softer and much more flexible than bristle material. The brush head is manufactured by machine and is processed in line with the high standards of the MÜHLE manufactory.
