Rose City Band - Sol Y Sombra LPA vehicle for Ripley Johnson, of Moon Duo and Wooden Shjips fame, to step out from the explicit psychedelic haze of his other bands and delve into more wistful, country tinged air. But don't mistake this for standard alt country, as Ripley injects a good dose of lysergic rhythms and accoutrements to the sound, that takes traditional music and pushes it to the edges of space.
