It’s not uncommon as an artist to be asked where inspiration for my pieces comes from. My inspiration always comes from memories, dreams and stories. 

‘’Wings’ a 48 x 36” acrylic on canvas painting is no exception to that rule. I remember a day along a dirt road in far North QLD where we made a stop by a Pandanus forest and there in the cool shadows were more Monarch Butterflies than a young girl could count. ‘Wings’ celebrates the joy of this memory.

It’s been my joy in recent times to combine realistic images along side my traditional elements. This process makes each piece so personal to me. As the artist I feel extremely connected to these works.
