The master craftsmen at Takada use ancient techniques to weave the highly durable and heat-resistant shuro palms around dark wood to create this beautiful and practical piece of kitchenware. It also incorporates a loop made of the same natural fibres for convenient storage.

Selector's Notes

The shuro palm fibres are harvested from organically grown trees in the Wakayama region of Japan, which produce the highest quality material in a distinctive rich coffee-brown colour.
