This is a lovely handcrafted sterling silver pendant with a dark gray of black diopside cat's eye cabochon.  It is bezel set in a sterling silver frame. The gemstone cabochon is 20 x 15mm and domed, it is a dark gray color with chatoyancy. The cat's eye effect, is caused by inclusions of fine, slender parallel mineral fibers in the gemstone that reflect light in a single band. Wearing cat's eye is believed to help ward off evil and acts as a talisman to protect against danger. The pendant has a large bail on the top that can easily slip on a cord, chain or necklace.
