It also produces a cone-shaped fruit that carries triangular seed that can be eaten by wild animals. It grows best in full sun to partial shade, and in moist and well-drained soils. It also has tolerance in dry soil and air pollution. It can also resist flooding. The oldest living Bald Cypress is at least 2,624 years old. The maximum height it can reach is around 70 feet high, with a width of 25 feet. It grows fast and is relatively low maintenance. It is also known as swamp cypress, gulf cypress, red cypress and tidewater red cypress.
