Sheriff of Nottingham - Will the Merchants get their goods past the Sheriff?

The marketplace of Nottingham is bustling with products from across the realm. Everything likely seems legitimate, but Prince John is determined to root out any found contraband. He has called upon the Sheriff to scrutinize the wares of each Merchant, always on the lookout for any illegal ones. Although he's sharp as a tack, the Sheriff can be swayed by a few extra coins here and there. Can you be the Merchant who makes it through with the best goods, and earns the biggest bounty in the market?

In Sheriff of Nottingham 2nd Edition, players take turns playing the Sheriff, looking for contraband goods, and the Merchants trying to stock their Stall with the best goods. The Sheriff can inspect any bag they want, but they must be careful, as they’ll have to pay a penalty if they find the Merchants were telling the truth. This new edition includes updated rules, as well as expansions such as the 6th Merchant, Black Market, and Sheriff’s Deputies.
