SANGA is the collective term for all the Sub-Saharan cattle breeds. Our AA Grade cowhides are locally sourced and hygienically tanned to international quality standards. Predominantly used as decorative rugs, they are chosen to complement the décor of a room. They are all certified and are accompanied by an authenticity certificate allowing for export from South Africa.

Our cowhides are a by-product of the beef industry, and we do not sell anything where the animal is used only for its leather. Every hide is imperfect with scars and marks as they are a natural product, but this adds to the story and unique character of each hide with no two products being identical.

Cleaning your hide and removing unwanted marks such as red wine; food spills and dirt stains can be done with a little warm water, a sponge and dishwashing liquid, but avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents. Simply apply your warm soapy water to the affected area and wipe with a dampened cloth or sponge. Please refer to our ‘Product Care & Cleaning’ link at the bottom of our Home Page.
