Powell Peralta - Caballero Ban This Flight Deck - 9.26"

Brand new "Flight" deck from Powell Peralta Skateboards featuring classic Steve Caballero graphics - the Ban This Dragon.

Unlike most of the 80's Powell graphics this one was not designed by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson (VCJ). For this later 80s Cab board Sean Cliver had taken over the job but had kept it looking very VCJ in style.

Powell Peralta have been quietly working away making these hi tech Flight decks. They are made using maple ply, like regular boards, but the plies are epoxy infuséd & fibre reinforced. This construction produces decks that are lighter, thinner and super strong plus have enhanced "pop". The "pop" will not fade either. like it does with regular maple constructed decks and they also last much longer too.

This one is a nice modern pool shape with plenty of extra width, super deep concave and nose the same length as the tail. Its perfect for old skoolers & modern bowl/pool shredding.

Five years ago we set out on an exploration to improve the strength and performance of skateboard decks and to see what was possible. FLIGHT™ decks apply what we learned into making a superior deck with increased performance at an affordable price.

Built in a new production area in our Santa Barbara, California, facility, FLIGHT™ decks are stronger, thinner and lighter than a 7-ply. You'll get the feel of it in an hour or two and begin to realize you can do things riding a Flight deck that cannot be done on a 7-ply. Flight decks allow you to extend your limits, because they let you ollie higher, flip faster, do tricks more easily, and they don't break in two like a 7-ply.

FLIGHT™ decks are:

Thinner - as thin as your phone

Stronger - more than twice as strong in our tail break tests

Longer lasting - The epoxy infuséd, fibre reinforced structure of the Flight deck is extremely resistant to breaking, and this structure gives Flight decks "everlasting pop" that doesn't fade as your Flight deck slowly wears.

Ollies higher - because of greater rebound and snap.

Team testing suggests that Flight decks will last several times as long as a 7-ply, making them a great value as well as a superior performing skateboard.

Powell Peralta® decks are made in the USA at our skateboard manufacturing facility in Santa Barbara, CA. Materials include U.S. hard rock maple, high strength fiberglass, AirLam fuséd with epoxy resin and are warranted against

delamination for their useful life. Our graphics are created in-house using non-solvent based inks and paints to keep our atmosphere cleaner.

PROFILE/CONCAVE

K15 - Consider this an upgrade that replaces the K10 concave. A double kick nose with deeper, smoother concave, longer wheelbase, concave kick on nose and tail and a scoop tail for a more secure foot placement without feeling trapped. A big boy version of the K12 allowing all terrain ripping with the stability of a longer wheelbase. Less wheel bite because the steeper concave goes out to the edge of the board.
