The handle of this Deejo pocket knife is made from coral wood. This type of wood is also called Padauk. A beautiful amber-coloured type of wood that originated in the forests of Africa. This tree can grow 50 meters tall and 30 meters wide. Characterizing for this type of wood is the warm orange-red colour that has turned it into one of the most remarkable trees on earth. This colour is also called coral-red. Hence the name 'coral wood'.
