Slyrs Rum Cask Finishing (2017)
This 2017 edition immediately demonstrates why Slyrs is so strong in cask finishes: the Bavarian single malt gets a full, tropical injection thanks to maturation in rum casks – and you can feel that from the first smell.

The nose opens with warm, sweet rum aromas: brown sugar, ripe banana, coconut, and a hint of pineapple. Beneath this, the characteristic Slyrs malt remains fresh, with soft vanilla and a hint of citrus.

On the palate, it becomes exotic and creamy: notes of sugarcane, toffee, light spices, ginger, and woody sweetness. The rum casks provide a rounded sweetness and an almost velvety-smooth mouthfeel, without being overly sweet.

The finish is elegant and warm: candy sugar, tropical fruits and a hint of oak that rounds it all off.
