LEVEL

Beginner! No experience necessary! Ages 10 - 18

MATERIALS

Please bring 1 yard of quilting cotton fabric and matching thread.

If your child needs a machine, please be sure to add Sewing Machine Rental at checkout.

All other materials and sewing tools are included.

DETAILS

This sewing series is designed to teach kids how to sew with fun, hands-on projects. The first session will focus on how to operate a sewing machine, including winding a bobbin and threading the machine. Students will complete a basic sewing project each day, learning new sewing terms and techniques, while using different sewing tools along the way. Skills covered include measuring and cutting fabric, ironing, sewing straight seams, topstitching, French seams, and installing a zipper. 

Projects will be different for week 1 and week 2, so if you register for both weeks you will make eight different projects.

Ages: 10 - 18
Skill Requirements: No previous experience necessary.
