Veldskoene or 'vellies' as locals call them are synonymous with being South African. First made in the 17th century by the first Dutch settlers to South Africa, they are known for their tough nature and can be worn for everyday use.

Suede is a type of leather with a sueded finish. It is made from the inner side of the hide, which is often softer and more pliable.

We use a heavy 'stitch down' pattern on a rugged sole resulting in a comfortable but long-lasting shoe. Lined from heel to toe with leather suede, and with soles made from a hard-wearing rubber compound, the shoes are durable and well-supported.
