Unlike traditional Valencias, it ripens slightly earlier, typically from late spring to early summer, although the harvest can extend into the fall. The fruit is large, virtually seedless (classified as having three or fewer seeds), juicy, sweet-tart, and low in acid. Midnight Valencias are self-pollinating, though cross-pollination can increase yields.
