An amethyst dress ring. Set with an octagonal step-cut amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.59 carats. An impressive cocktail ring design featuring a structural gallery reflecting the cut of the amethyst, leading to platinum-topped shoulders set with four diamonds on either side amounting to a total weight of 0.08 carats. Tested 18ct yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
