This striking deciduous small tree or shrub is multi-stemmed with a star-like white flower that has an overwhelming 25 to 30 tepals. Its flowers bloom during late-Winter to early-Spring, before the new glossy green leaves begin to emerge. The Star Magnolia can reach a maximum height of 20 inches with a width of 15 inches as it ages. It loves full sun and best grown in naturally rich, moist, lightly acidic and well-drained soils.
