The Powell Peralta Welinder Classic Skateboard Deck in Blacklight brings back one of the brand’s most recognizable graphics. The Per Welinder Viking Skull was first illustrated by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson in 1984, with artwork inspired by Per Welinder’s Swedish origins and freestyle background.

Originally created for Per’s freestyle model, the graphic later received the rock texture background in 1986, then moved to a full-length street model in 1987 as Per began performing freestyle and street demos. The Runic-style lettering spells out Per’s name and includes the quote “Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key.”

Built with 7-ply maple construction, this Powell Peralta skateboard deck offers a classic shape with a 9.62" width, 29.75" length, 14.88" wheelbase, SP3 concave, and Shape 193B. The 3.65" nose and 6.23" tail give the deck a vintage-inspired feel suited for collectors, old school setups, and riders who prefer a wider board.
