The Penfold Pirate and the Darktown Diva is a double side screen print by the irrepressible Jonny Hannah. The print comes wrapped in a glassine folder with a poem written by Jonny to celebrate the meeting of these two ne'er do wells screen printed on its cover. To find out more about the release of this unique double sided print Jonny conducted a double sided interview with himself, you can read it on the Penfold Press website here. 

This print is trimmed to the edge of the paper and is signed on the reverse of the glassine cover by the artist.

Artist

Jonny was born in Dunfermline, Fife. After studying illustration at Liverpool Art School and later the RCA Jonny has gone on to become one of the UK’s most celebrated Illustrators. Taking his influences from a range of eclectic sources, Jonny has explored a unique mix of folk tales, jazz, Americana and pop culture to create a personal vision of the world. Developed through an exciting use of printmaking techniques Jonny's prints can inspire, delight and unsettle in equal measures.
