Words from Joanna Bourne:
"The subject of this print has brought me solace and calm over the last few months. My garden has been the focus of my attention and creativity this year and I have spent many hours head down, sowing, planting, weeding, and tending, accompanied in the last 3 months by our fostered hen Rosie. Occasionally I stop working and sit, enjoying the colours and scents. Our house shades the garden over the course of the day, and late one afternoon in September I was sitting enjoying the sun, and noticed how the seed heads of the fennel and purple toadflax were shining so brightly against the shadows on the lawn. Rosie was in her own world, hunting for bugs."
