Breitling Chronomat 44 – Ref CB0110 – SS and Gold – Full Set

Breitling Chronomat 44 Automatic with reference CB0110 in stainless steel and gold with blue round dial and gold batons for each hour. The watch has three gold sub dials, hours at 6 o’clock, seconds at 9 o’clock and minutes at 3 o’clock. At 12 o’clock is engraved “Chronometre Certifie” and 6 o’clock “Automatic”. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The hands are in gold with “Baton” style. All the luminous are excellent. The date window comes at 4 o’clock. On the outer of the dial comes a tachymetre graduated up to 500. The watch has a unidirectional rotative bezel with marks every 5 digits. The watch has a screwed crown. 2 screwed pushers for the chronograph. It is a screw back case with engraved “Chronograph –Etanche 500 m – Manufacture en Suisse – CB0110 - 3261382”. The watch is waterproof 500M. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber Breitling B01 and 47 jewels. It is a stainless steel and gold bracelet with number W4518 – 388C with double clasp Breitling buckle. It comes with 4 links and fits a 7.50 inches wrist. It is a full set with box, International Warranty, Attestation of Chronometrie and manual of operations.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
